安珀·詹姆斯表示，她已"多次"报告该房产内存在严重黑霉和潮湿问题

一位母亲在凌晨时分因政府公房的"霉斑遍布"天花板坍塌而"震惊不已"。周一凌晨4点30分，25岁的安珀·詹姆斯被"一声巨响"惊醒，当时她家厨房的天花板突然塌落。

这位惊恐的母亲立即冲向她四岁儿子的房间，确认他安然无恙仍在床上熟睡。来自布莱顿霍灵伯里的安布尔分享的照片显示，厨房天花板上有一个大洞，裸露的椽子和碎片散落在水槽和炉灶周围。

安布尔（Amber）还有一个一岁的孩子，她透露自己曾多次向物业报告过严重的黑霉和潮湿问题。

她表示："8月4日凌晨4点30分，我被一阵巨大的爆裂声惊醒，随后是轰隆的坍塌声。我立刻冲进儿子房间查看，幸好他仍在床上安睡，安然无恙。"

当我意识到那声响是怎么回事，强行推开厨房门后，眼前的景象让我彻底震惊了。一想到如果当时我和儿子们在厨房里可能遭遇的后果，我就忍不住哭了起来。

安布尔声称，她于5月13日首次向布莱顿-霍夫市政厅报告了厨房天花板渗漏和发霉问题。她表示，市政承包商最终于6月17日上门进行了处理。

安珀指控工人仅对问题区域进行了清洗和粉刷，却未解决根本问题。她进一步表示，6月17日粉刷后霉菌再度渗出，遂于6月30日要求返工修复。

据安布尔所述，一周后，一名主管前来检查，并宣称霉菌和潮湿环境"安全"。

"我多次向市政委员会举报，他们却放任问题恶化到这种地步，真令人作呕。"安珀愤慨地表示。这位已在政府公租房居住两年半的母亲透露，她的儿子饱受健康问题困扰，甚至需要使用哮喘喷雾治疗。

无处安身的安珀（Amber）目前暂居在母亲家中。

她解释道：“因为我妹妹周三之前都不在家，所以我和儿子们得以暂住在我母亲家，现在全挤在她房间的一张双人床上睡觉。市政委员会至今未就我的安置问题联系过我，我仍在试图从他们那里得到答复。”

Amber James said she had reported issues of severe black mould and damp within the property "multiple times"

A mum was left "in shock" after her council flat's "mould-ridden" ceiling collapsed in the early hours. Amber James, 25, was jolted awake by a "huge crashing sound" when her kitchen ceiling gave way at 4.30am on Monday.

The terrified mum immediately rushed to her four-year-old son's room to ensure he was safe and sound, still asleep in his bed. Photos shared by Amber from Hollingbury, Brighton, reveal a gaping hole in the kitchen ceiling , with exposed rafters and debris scattered across the sink and hob.

Amber, who also has a one-year-old child, revealed she had previously reported severe black mould and damp issues within the property "multiple times".

She said: "I was awoken by the loudest cracking then a huge crashing sound at 4.30am on August 4. I ran straight into my son's room to check if he was okay and luckily he was still asleep and safe in his bed.

"Then I realised what the noise was and had to force the kitchen door open and saw this. I was in complete shock and starting crying at the thought of what could've happened if me or my sons were in the kitchen when this happened."

Amber claimed she first reported the leak and mould issues in her kitchen ceiling to Brighton and Hove Council on May 13. She said council contractors finally attended the property on June 17.

Amber alleges that the workers merely washed and painted over the problem area without addressing the root cause. She further stated that she called for repairs on June 30 when mould reappeared through the paint applied on June 17.

A week later, a supervisor visited and declared the mould and damp "safe", according to Amber.

"I'm so disgusted by the council allowing it to get to this after I've reported it multiple times," she expressed. Amber, who has resided in the council flat for two-and-a-half years, says her son has suffered "a lot" of health issues - even being prescribed an asthma pump.

With no place to call home, Amber has found refuge at her mum's house.

She explained: "I've been able to stay at my mum's house, as my younger sister is away until Wednesday, so me and my sons are sleeping in her room all in one double bed I've had no contact from the council regarding where I'm supposed to stay and still trying to get answers from them."

Brighton and Hove Council has been contacted for a comment.
